Road Trippin Review is a crowd-sourced geographic database built by and for people who spend serious time on the road. We're not a travel blog or a hotel booking site — we're a living, continuously updated map of the places road trippers actually care about.
Our founder drives 40,000–50,000 miles a year across the American West. This app was born out of frustration with incomplete, outdated, and scattered information about the places that make road tripping worth it.
Over 1,500 hot springs across the American West — temperatures, access conditions, clothing policies, and real user reviews.
Nearly 3,000 rest stops nationwide with facility data — truck parking, restrooms, pet areas, RV dump stations, and overnight rules.
Thousands of BLM and public land camping locations — primitive sites, developed campgrounds, and dispersed camping areas.
Coming soon — public land rockhounding sites with mineral types, land status, and access information.
Our database starts with authoritative public data sources — USGS geothermal records, NTAD rest stop data, and BLM recreation site inventories. That gives us the foundation: location, name, and basic attributes.
From there, the data improves through community contributions. Contributors submit reviews, report current conditions, correct wrong information, and fill in missing details. Every submission is reviewed by our team before it appears publicly.
The result is a database that gets more useful every day — not a static snapshot that goes stale.
